Wow. Great story. It's really cool that you went through the research and the process of putting this together.

The one thing I can't determine is where it happened. In some documents the government says 45N, 3E, but in other places we were told variously, Chateaudun or Lutz-en-Dunois. Though the last two are near each other, the geographic coordinates are hundreds of miles away. The only explanation I have come up with puts the drop at 45N, 3E, but the crash at Chateaudun/Lutz as they headed home.

Very nice production sir. A wonderful memorial to, and in remembrance of, your Uncle Bill. Fascinating images, well crafted script, and your narration style was excellent. Thanks for creating and posting this ConsilienceTeacher.
And... Thank You Uncle Bill! For your service and your ultimate sacrifice in doing your part to preserve freedom for generations to come. We salute you Uncle Bill.

juhler sent me,
What a great documentary of your uncle, it literally gave me chills when you were telling me.
Sis.

For me, the chills come from watching him alive in the video which can be seen in a clip #44947 from Movie Tone Digital Newsreel Archives. He's in two scenes near the end (one talking with the princess, one with the king), looking down the line of his mates toward the camera. But at the time it aired, he had already died.
