Is the Stihl 660 magnum better than husky 395 xp?
-
i would much rather have that xp than an old saw. those are really nice saws. lighter faster and more powereful than the old ones. also husky quit badgeing a american saw with the husky name they are starting to make all their saws again. if you go to a tractor supply and buy a farm boss it will say made in sweden now i think they just started that this year or last. that said i bought a stihl :p

@chainsawsmurf yes and no. They are cought out but Husqvarna are made way different. only simularities is the newer poulans have some of the same features such as toolless chain tensioner and easy start etc. However the quality of the saw is way different from one another. Poulan parts are way cheeper to look at and not heavy duty at all. I know this cause I have both and I do my own maintence one them. Both were stripped and huge diff between them but maybe in future perhaps.

@Kalob35 not after I port the muffler!! LOL
Ya, they are good. Too bad the newer ones are not as good as the older ones. A big company bought out husky, poulan and some others so you might get a poulan with a husky badge and color. A dealer showed me one of each and they were identicle except for the name and colors.

@chainsawsmurf acctualy i have older one models of husky , and johnsered and corpuses are made of aliuminium , and other metals for lifetime usage , novadays as i watched this video i got a little bit disapointed because one of todays best chainsaws are made of pure plastic i know it is strong , but it is not comparable with metal.

@kenisimoo Our local forestry Pro's replace every year anyway, and they like the light weight which allows them to work for longer. The husky doesn't need a full tank of gas either, because it cuts for so long on half a tank...

Nice saw....but I would put my Stihl ms 660 magnum up against it!! :)

People who use them professionally say they get more cutting per litre of gas, mostly due to the double aspirated cylinder.
