Simple guitar lesson focussing on a right-hand pattern to help get that rockabilly / country / Travis picking feel. Based on Mystery Train. Nothing here too complicated. Apologies that the left hand is a little hard to see - but this is all about the right hand anyway!

  • I have really cracked on with my style now, and as I said earlier (a couple of months back) the video here has really helped. I am in Cornwall, and I can't find a teacher that teaches this kind of stuff. Do you have anymore videos, or anything that you'd mail?(VHS/DVDs etc)

  • @markallanp Hi Mark. Thanks for the comments. Glad the video has helped. I'll try and post something new in the near future...only trouble is that I every idea I have for a lesson someone's already done it - and usually better than I would ;-)

  • Thanks for the encouraging comments everyone - makes it worthwhile!

  • It's merely the way you say "hey, do this...then add that, once that's nabbed add this" kind of thing, which You NEVER get from a book. I do have the homespun Jim weider Rockabilly Guitar lessons, and he does that, but unfortunately for me, he has started at a level a wee bit ahead of mine! TECHNIQUE is your gift in this video, and please, please keep it up! Take Care Fella!

  • @DelOfTheShire Hey Del! .I am really impressed with your teaching, not in the sense of "learn to play blah-de-blah" but in the way you have broken down the technique. As others have said here it has just made it so much easier to learn rather than using a book or CD /mag combo.

  • finally a mistery train lesson that is really well done! thx a lot man!! learned more in 7 minutes than in three days checking out the other vids on this lick.

  • Thank you Del...this is really a cool video. I have been trying to learn the Rockabilly style these past few months (have a great Homespun DVD set by Jim Weider) but this video you've done here isn't as tough...just getting that finger style has suddenly made sense to me! Thanks again fella

  • Hello thank you for this, you have opened a new door to my playing. Please do more Rockabilly Baby lets Play House, Thats alright Momma, Milk Cow Blues all that Sun Records stuff. I beg of you!!! You have a talent for teaching and it is greatly appreciated my friend.

I spent alot of money on books and DVDs, but you my friend are the one who put me in the right direction and I thank you for that.

    Cheers
