Its got nothing to do with ABS and everything to do with traction, the car that stopped quicker used much less technology while the one that kept going was using ABS overtime it would have slid out of control without ABS.

@sacr3 lol. i my self am only 16, drove most of last winter and i now have my intermediate. i drive an older, heavier car now and for winter i have 4 used winter tires. they were used last winter. my car has no anti lock or ABS and when i saw i was going to hit another car, i scanned the area, saw my exit and took it. if i feel i will not stop, i will turn if safe. i just so happen to be one of those people that can check all of this as it happens. if worse comes to worse... hit the snow bank!!

Rubbish. Both cars have ABS, with both cars you just mash your foot to the floor. There's no "using brakes properly" about it. Maybe you just don't understand how the winter tyres work.
