The technical way to build the PowerPivot table is shown in another video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMGCID7Wn6s

You can download this free Excel & PowerPoint addin (meters and gauges with 200 options). BeGraphic is an advanced charts and graphics builder that works with dynamic data coming from Olap database & PowerPivot

  • I tried this software. It works but its flaky. Everything is cell based. For example, instead of having a color picker you must first colorize cells and then choose the cell containing the color. Also, I want to show the just current value but instead it shows all values in each tick. It was an all or nothing deal. Strange.

I suppose you think about a single usage. We want BeGraphic to be used every month to make the current reporting dashboard. That is why all is cell-driven, even the color.

Regarding the current value, you can add it at the end of the needdle, and you can decide which mark will get a value on (decision can be done differently for each mark). Send a question on the BeGraphic forum to get information how to do this.
