The Fontana Chamber Arts Society brought 12 hours of continuous music, played at several locations around downtown, for the first annual Kalamazoo Fete de la Musique on June 21. Oh I loved this! It is really cool seeing little kids among the adults do what comes naturally: bang on something rhythmically.
Drumming is so primal, such an easy way to feel the connection of hearts, a connection that renders race, beliefs, societal issues and age moot.
