The Fontana Chamber Arts Society brought 12 hours of continuous music, played at several locations around downtown, for the first annual Kalamazoo Fete de la Musique on June 21. The Dunuya Drum & Dance group set up a jam session for downtown pedestrians in front of the Burnham & Flower Agency on the Kalamazoo Mall. Kalamazoo Gazette | http://www.mlive.com/kzgazette

  • Oh I loved this! It is really cool seeing little kids among the adults do what comes naturally: bang on something rhythmically.

    Drumming is so primal, such an easy way to feel the connection of hearts, a connection that renders race, beliefs, societal issues and age moot.
