Kinda breaks my heart to first see the little boy at the window happy and eager to see his champion marching to war, and then holding a doll and crying because his champion has fallen defending the Empire from Chaos or some other foe.

I think the judge got hung up on the novelty of the model and forgot to look at the paint job very average paint to be called the best

Is the Golden Demon for hobbyist or Artist because that wasnt made with a cheap knife and a GW starter set. Astetically and technically inspiring and for me its about time our artist were recognised outside of the wargames community. Tell me you wouldnt rather see an exhibition with that in it over some boring old Picasso!
