I did this, and now my screen is just black. Double checked the connectors, screws, everything, but still no working iPhone. Apple has some amazing products, but when they start to show defects you're screwed..

My battery is getting really bad but I'm afraid to try this!!!

this video is the best tutorial, I just did this in about 30 mins maybe and i bought a 3g that was really dirty inside. The hardest part for me was getting the #3 cable back in, it was really easy to do for me but I was really stressing out at first, than when i put it all together : ) really great tutorial iphonebatteryrepair

Dude, most people watching will have an iphone, so no need to tell em how to shut the iphone down xD

Basically every phone has it where you can just slide off some sort of back casing and swap batteries. But no, Apple. You have to make things so complicated!

I just did this and it was one of the hardest and scariest things I've ever done!! But I'm very happy with the end result!! At first It started back up and I couldn't use the touch screen! I took a deeeeep breath and opened it back up and the first connector wasn't on properly. It was trickier than the 3rd! But in the end I'm very happy! Thanks for this video! I love YouTube!

@sephiroth727 because they charge $79 for battery replacement, and they don't want it to be easy or cheap.
