Paul Biegel-Bryant and his partner Ron Thornton revolutionized 3-D animation by drilling a hole between their apartments, linking 2 Amigas, installing a new animation program, Lightwave, and underbidding major LA animation studios to win key TV and feature film credits. They went on to form the 250-employee, Foundation Imaging in LA, creating work for Babylon 5 and Star Trek. This brief interview of Paul was used as part of the Digital Equipment Corporation (now a part of the Compaq division at Hewlett-Packard) Alpha Processor exhibit at the 1997 SIGGRAPH convention. George Avgerakis, Producer-Director; Edward J. Pei, DP.
