scary shit, i am from costa and I know how you feel, cops are terrible in costa , It is getting ugly here! If you come to visit just be very careful and do not show off, and always be on the look out. if you are a tourist do not even go to San jose! I am from costa and don't even go to san jose ,it is ghetto.

Warning! Do not even bother traveling to Costa Rica. I almost got kidnapped in downtown San Jose. Many cops are corrupt to the bone, as their salaries dont do them any justice but to take bribes and scam tourists!
