Wouldn't burning the wood to make steam and run a steam generator be much easier and more efficient?

@762gunr The higher BTU's required for resulting energy mean lower efficiency. Gasification is one of the most efficient way to combust solid fuels. Typically the Syn-gas is used to drive a reciprocating engine or gas turbine and the wast heat can be used for: heating, cooling and even boiling water.

@joewilder The client: Tim, wants reliable and simple. Tim will be experimenting with Gasification of biomass wastes. We will have a dedicated Gasifier in our shop for experimenting and powering the shop!

Wait this is your building? I didn't realize you had a building on the property already. I must have missed some videos sometime in the past. I have subscribed so hopefully that won't happen again. Would love to learn more on gasification, I have heard the same about stationary engines being best.

@Velkoze1 Why don't you fight an oil company? They destroy town after town and pump billions into their own paychecks. I am not saying there aren't failures with Alt energy, I just think its easier for people to go after the little guy. Teach your children about a sustainable future and how compromise will benefit us all in the long term. Thanks for posting!
