Most of the communist countries left are pretty inneffectual today. Unrestrained and unregulated capitalism gave us the GFC. And why do you seem hung up on a "one or the other approach" open your mind to the future its going to take something new to make all this work properly and fairly.

Most Communist happily worked with great Corporations for the continuation of the System. That however had nothing to do what Communism should actualy be but alas all the "great" Communist leaders crushed the workers as much as the Capitalist boss did. From lenine that crusht sovet councils to Stalin to Mao to Kim Jong Il to Deng Xiaoping.
