  • is the duracoat you used just the spray paint in a can?...if so thats awesome i didnt know it would come out that good

  • @ACDCdude953 No man, the stuff I used is applied via airbrush. I have some duracoat vids, look them up.

  • @VigilantSpectre Good video, HOWEVER, you are wrong about the disconnector spring. You said small end down when its the opposite. Drove me nuts and had sore fingers doing it the wrong way.

  • @321rockyrocky My Apologies, you are 100% correct.

  • Hey guy just to let ya know. Every AR-15's Buffer Tube is meant to hold down the buffer detent pin... Not just MagPul

  • @Jrsydevil7 yeah, you are right, when I started putting that particular stock together I didn't think it would.

  • Never allow the hammer to strike the bolt stop- you can damage the bolt stop and/or the hammer itself. Keep your finger on the hammer and ride it forward in a controlled manner. Every manufacturer recommends this and it is a good idea. Otherwise, the only suggestion I would add is after installing the triggerguard, install the magazine release so you can use an empty magazine to hold the receiver in a vise if desired.

  • Like times infinity!! God that's a sexy rifle, the only thing id do is put a magpul pistol grip and trigger guard...in matching dark earth of course lol. I plan on building a similar rifle in black. I love mid length. Keep up the GREAT rifle building lol

  • holy shit the camera has a hand lol

  • great post bro. overall cost for ur entire lower assembly?

  • Using the pages of a book to protect the trigger guard ears is a good idea!

  • Thanks on the vid did a great job, helped me out alot esp on not scratching it

  • This is probably one of the best lower build videos ive seen.Has anyone actually ever ruined their lower putting on the trigger guard? I ordered a magpul one recently,Wondering if I shouldnt risk ruining my lower just to change the color...

  • lol the book is a good idea. I just duracoated my 80% lower yesterday that machined and used acetate too (trustrip costs too much). I found that Cavarms coyote brown was the best color to match FDE Magpul parts.
