The teams have moved onto the Validation stage. In this final technical event, the top finalists in both the Mainstream and Alternative classes will undergo dynamometer testing under controlled laboratory conditions at certified labs to verify technical performance results. The Validation stage accounts for 50% of the overall score for each team. The results of this testing, combined with the speed, efficiency and emissions results from the earlier events at Michigan International Speedway, will determine the winners of the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE.

Somehow you made sure that the team most likely to put a real car into production (Aptera) was sent home with nothing whatsoever, while the team that has no plans to actually sell the car they were competing with (VLC) got the grand prize.
I spent the last year following this.
I should have known what would happen.
