My Morning Jacket - Cobra @ Louisville Waterfront 08-16-08

When my friend Brandon and I ran into Carl Broemel at Essex in NYC the day after the RCMH masterpiece, we reluctantly requested the band to perform "Cobra" at the upcoming Louisville show. His response was something like, "It's been a while since we've played that. I may have to practice it," so I didn't expect to hear it. But shortly into the 2nd set at Waterfront Park the Cobra anthem began. I was in awe initially so I missed recording the first verse.

i absolutely lost my mind when they started Cobra....i think i screamed Cobra during every silent moment at the bonnaroo show, maybe they heard me, i'd like to think so. simply stunning, every second of this show, just epic.

Great show... when they started to play Cobra i flipped... we all called it, we said Cobra and Run Thru were going down and they did. Nashville show was great too.
