Today, you would build it of recycled aluminum. It blew dust out of the house so you spend less time dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming; it had waterless toilets that shrink-wrapped waste for compost. It adjusted automatically to the pressure difference of a tornado (you don't have to take the time to open windows), and even had movable interior walls.
I think maybe it's time to look at this again, together with modern automation and electronics. Rebuilding after earthquakes?
