This "big.LITTLE" idea sounds similar to Nvidia's addition of a fifth "companion" core to their Tegra 3 SoC, for running low-impact tasks in a low-power mode.

@shaurz About 5% less powerful at same frequency and as single core.
More powerful since higher frequency and possibility to have dual core not to mention much better energy efficiency.
