@HeavenlyLoving The "run, win, influence" is how the process takes hold. We can sit on the sides lines and scream but the federal government has proven over the decades that as long as it is the repub. vs dems, nothing gets done except for speeding up the downward spiral. As Libertarians we need assert ourselves into the system to push the responsible change that most Americans want. It's hard to be marginalized when you have numbers on the battlefield.

All this "run, win, influence" crap is terrible messaging for the Libertarian Party.
Those who put winning over principles can choose one of the establishment parties.
The LP should be about standing up for the oppressed and marginalized and speaking truth to power even when it is unpopular.
But I'm glad to see people like Carlos Rodriguez speaking out for immigration reform -- discrimination on the basis of nationality is ugly and bigoted, and these government policies must change!
