Living is dieing, when the content of consciousness comes to an end.

Jiddu Krishnamurti

Here is the original video from which the clips were taken: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbpi-gc7HNY

Unfortunately, Windows Movie Maker could not save this movie file because the original clips were corrupted or something, but I managed to film the playback of the project file with my video camera!

Living is dieing.
Death becomes a living when the content of consciousness comes to an end.
Can the content of consciousness be totally emptied?
The emptying of consciousness means consciousness which has created its own limitation by its content comes to an end.
This is not a theory.
There is this content, which is my consciousness.
It has to be emptied, otherwise it is mere continuity.
So it is very important to empty consciousness of its content, which means the dieing to the me.
You are touching at the very root of fear, the very root of terror of not being.
The fear exists and the terror of it exists only when the content is not understood, and the content is the me, and the me is the chair.
Look at the content of your consciousness.
The present is the death of the content.
The dieing is the living, when the content is totally emptied.
Unless a human being empties that consciousness, that consciousness goes on like a river.
And a man who has observed and has looked at the consciousness and empties it, he doesn't belong to that stream at all.
Then he is living each moment anew, because he is dieing each moment.
Every minute, living every minute and dieing every minute.
You can be reborn, regenerated totally if you die to the content.
So, living is dieing.

  • A great edit of this dialogue, an important pointer to true freedom - dying to the past! Well done!
