I remember watching this. What a great moment in US hockey! The US team was superior and definitely seemed to be more relaxed with each other and comfortable on the ice. They all looked in sync. A lot of pressure was obviously on Canada to win this "inaugural World Cup", but one Canadian sports columnist wrote that although the 1980 Olympic team put US hockey on the map, it was this 1996 World Cup victory that made the US a viable power house AND
