my still motion photography set to Warsaw by Joy Division. i stumbled upon what looked to be an ant battle so i shot some footage and went back and created a Quicktime movie from about 1200 photos. i stopped back to the spot i had captured the footage a few hours later and all that was left were a bunch of shriveled, dead ants, so i did some research on ant behavior and was surprised to find out that humans and ants are the only two species on the planet that go to battle alike.

Shot with: Nikon D700 at 7FPS
the brown in the background of the shot is a sea of fighting ants.
