Opening up Medicare to more people is no substitute for a strong Public Option.
Higher premiums and higher out-of pocket costs are what are in store for Americans. The senate has lost track of reform, and do not seem to even know what they are trying to accomplish with their bill anymore. The senate does not know enough about the health insurance industry to reform it. The insurance industry people are telling them what to put in the bill do and they are doing it. Listen to Wendell Potter.

The greatest gift that Cary, and the millions like her, could receive this Christmas is peace of mind. Nobody should have to juggle the need for medicine against the need for food and other necessities of life. A gift of justice, so long overdue.
Congress, get the lead out! Put yourselves in this woman';s shoes.
Get that bill on the President's desk to be signed before the end of the month.
You owe this to the Americans who elected you.

39 years of health insurance premiums the health insurance industry collected off this woman? An now she's diabetic and 50 years old and working 4 jobs? And the health insurance industry made 39 years of premiums off her and then DROPPED HER? Let's face it, THIS IS A CRIME!..iT'S FRAUD! Congress needs to wrap laws around this fraud so we can see these ^&%*'s jailed for it. Tell me this isn't worse than bank robbery, and I'll tell you you're CRAZY. SHE HAS NO MEDICINE FOR HER DIABETES!!!

We should have universal single payer in this country, plain and simple.
It is an outrage, what is being done in the senate, to the health care bill. I am with the progressives who will work against any candidate in the next elections who fails us, to get a candidate to replace them who supports single payer universal health coverage. Profit and Wall street have no place in health care killing Americans. I have had it with this game. I am outraged at what I am seeing in congress. And to think that these are elected officials. What does a vote even mean, anymore?

Your not alone Aldenbuzzand I aggree 100% .You know the Republicans are no longer Republicans but extremist . And our Democratic party is no longer Democrats but moderate Republicans . I think progressives are the real liberal party and maybe we should think about separating from the Democratic party to create a lone progressive party ?

I have to admit this only makes me believe the legislation currently in congress and the senate is not the right thing to do. Even the small business owner says he does not understand how and if it will help him provide insurance to his employees. This only makes me believe they are doing the wrong thing and this is not the reform we need.

How many people are out there that are so afraid of the government taking over - and they are the ones that should be out there iwth pitchforks demanding single payer healthcare but no...too damned stupid they would rather have some corporation hold their families lives in the balance "lets see pay for their own healthcare or pay for some ceo to make millions? It should be a no brainer but ignorant bubba's can't read so they watch soap operas on fux news
