Drosselmeyer the Arbiter

I managed to get the DVD of the Chess concert from Amazon, and after a couple of views, I really like it. If you are flipping through your cable listings and see that it's airing tonight, I highly recommend watching it, especially if you are a Josh Groban fan or Rent or Wicked fan (Adam Pascal and Idina Menzel are in it too.) But it will probably take more than one viewing to fully understand it.
Of course, it wasn't without its flaws. For this song in particular, Marti Pellow, the guy who did it in the concert wasn't bad, but this version from the original concept cast was better in my opinion. But that's a minor thing that I can live with. I decided to use the original version for this video. I immediately began to think of Drosselmeyer whenever I heard it. He is essentially using the main characters as his pawns watching their every move, and that is what the Arbiter in the musical is as well, the omnipotent storyteller. I will try to make some videos from the concert version of Chess soon though.
