"the oldest source for Godiva's naked ride is from the 12th century by Roger of Wendover"
Yes... Roger of W compiled a Latin chronicle of myths. I think it was the 12c version of Fox news - titillating rather that reliable. One myth attributed the pagan 'naked virgin on a horse' ritual to the long dead Christian noblewoman. The idea is absurd.
It was the Victorians who discovered it & turned in into a legend with the poems, paintings, statues and stuff, though

Lady Godiva rode naked on her white horse through the English town of Coventry, in defiance of her husbands heavy taxes on the people. Her long mane of hair was all that covered her, whilst people in the city had to stay indoors, whilst she rode naked through the old cobbled streets, but some men peeped through the windows, hence the origins of the term, "peeping Tom."

@Snipperification Not Victorian, the oldest source for Godiva's naked ride is from the 12th century by Roger of Wendover. Not in sources from the 11th century though, when the lady lived.

@deaddu what made you so sure it's rated down by women??

"It obviously doesn't occur to you that even if a woman chooses to expose herself, it's still her choice and therefore it's NOT exploitation but an exersize of her right to choose."
You have completely misunderstood my comment, perhaps you own mind isn't very big?
After all, you obviously can't spell. Using a resource is to exploit, it by definition. If a woman exercises the "right to choose" to use her own body, she is exploiting it.
It is still hypocritical in this context.

@Snipperification You're like many small minded people and what you fail to see (right before your eyes) shows you're actually one of those you claim to disdain. It obviously doesn't occur to you that even if a woman chooses to expose herself, it's still her choice and therefore it's NOT exploitation but an exersize of her right to choose.

mais eu nao entendi nada srsrsrsrs brazil portugues
Great speech about how women shouldn't be exploited - from a woman sitting naked on a horse... ^_^
Women shouldn't be exploited, but it is ok to exploit themselves... er... right.
But who cares what her motives are? A turn on is a turn on.
Why did she really do this? 'cause she's an actress being paid to do it... LOL
Poor Lady Godiva, the legend is bullshit, a Victorian fantasy. Imagine being remembered for all eternity for all the wrong reasons.

I like the way, at the time of this post, the male fantasy posted by 'frantic1971' gets rated down while the female fantasy posted by 'qilin2' is given 3 thumbs up.
Are men not allowed fantasies also? Are women really this insecure?
And why isn't there a female counterpart to "The Last Male Chauvinist" and don't tell me women don't think like that.
For the record, there is no reason the "3C's + K" and "LEARN" rules can't both exist :)... course that depends what (if anything) the N stands for..
