Can't anyone dispute a ticket received at a DUI checkpoint and get it dismissed? I'm sure they can but what stops these assholes from doing this. The scope of the checkpoint is to check sobriety. That's it. Once they determine if a suspect is not drunk, it's over. They have no legal right to detain that person any longer. Any evidence gained after that can be suppressed in court and would be inadmissible. But they don't care. We need some type of recourse so they can't continue this.

what a vagina! Tell them next time that you don't want to talk to them! Maybe get arrested., then sue for wrongful arrest. Repeat for profit!

There is no expectation of privacy on a city street or public sidewalk. As long as you are not in a place where you feel that others can see you and what you do there is no expectation of privacy.

My card also says"While you do have a right to privacy, you surrendered reasonable expectation of privacy by coming here. You do have certain 4th Amendment protections in your home, but by your presence in public you have placed yourself under my 1st Amendment Free Press protected right to record, photograph, and publish, all that I see and hear."
Its pretty weak of you to have complied. Don't complain about them making you do things that they have to no authority to unless you're willing to do something about it. By complying you reinforced their authority.

While i agree with everything you said, im puzzled as to why you turned your camera off and then put text on the screen saying that you didnt have to. we need to exercise our rights, not use them until a cop sez stop.
