Although this was a good movie, it degrades the last moments of these people's lives. If I'm suicidal I wouldn't want to be captured on the frames of film of some guy's video camera.
I just saw this movie last night...this was so strong, depressing and also somehow there is a kind of atraction to keep whatching it...and there is also some beautiful about it. The last Person to junp is really the most dramatic because we saw him strungling during all movie and when he finelly jumps he does it like flying! We have a similar bridge but u can´t cross it, so I think there is not many suicids per year.
I think you're talking about the young man in black leather - Gene Sprague? The film is framed by his story without actually being about him in particular... I agree it's probably the most powerful of all the stories if only because his was the most enigmatic. I guess it also struck a chord with me because I know someone very similar to him.
I also found myself oddly taken with the chap who jumped and survived - as troubled as he was, I found him very likeable in a 'Donnie Darko' kind of way.
