  • Wonderful video! ;) Only, as a great Gene Kelly-fan, I can't help thinking of the telephone-scene(s) in "Anchors Aweigh" ... I just love his facial expressions in that film and they would match perfectly with this video, if you don't mind me saying ;D

  • That's cool, if I can find that photo I'll use it in another phone compilation.

How is Gene Kelly in "An American in Paris"? You've reminded me that it is sitting unwatched on my shelf. After being a bit disappointed with the "Brigadoon" DVD, I put Gene on hold for now & went onto other types of films.

Thanks for commenting & now I'm curious about "Anchors Aweigh".

  • Well, in my opinion, "An American in Paris" is a piece of art. Gene fully understands his artistically skills in this film and is as innovative and joyful as ever ... And to the strains of Gershwin it can never go wrong! ;)

  • Sounds great & I shall watch it soon.

As you are a Gene Kelly fan, what do you think of the film "Brigadoon"?

  • Aw bless Olivia never got to phone anyone, it was too far away lol!

Brilliant video with amazingly fast editing, it mustve taken AGES!! 5/5

  • Thanks Sam,

for some reason the photo of Olivia actually talking or listening on the phone didn't make it into this edit. Olivia looked sweet reading in bed & the photo from 'Lady in a Cage' is great imagery. This didn't take a long time to edit ~ it was fun. Collecting all the photo's took a long time & last night it felt like there were enough to assemble to a great song ~

  • AWESOME !

  • I love Blondie and I love old movies. You're a winner. ;) haha

  • Cyd Charisse was probably one of the only female dance partners who could "follow" Gene. And I must admit that she did a better job in "Singin' In The Rain". I think "Brigadoon" is more a feel-good movie, if you know what I mean... Amusing, but not overwhelming ;)
