@robertb6964 there is an antenna for AM but different than the antenna used for FM.

They need to make boomboxes that run off 12 volt lead-acid batteries.

Why do you keep touching the antenna when it's on AM? I thought AM doesn't use the antenna.

I didn't see a lot of difference ....i have another Milwakee radio had it for 8 years now ,and i had a good experience with it ,besides i like this radio because it has an Mp3 jack ,the lunchbox doesn't ...so definitely i will be getting this radio soon.

Milwaukee radios suck anyway, go dewalt,Bosch,makita etc... all make damn good radios
