Ron Jarzombek is not human

A collection of some of the crazier moments on Blotted Science's "Machinations of Dementia." These are by no means the only such moments to be found... this album is a tour-de-force of technicality. Not just from Jarzombek but from Webster (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) and drummer Zeleny (Behold... the Arctopus) as well.

Of course not all of the album is so blatantly hair-raising, but it's always interesting, both harmonically and rhythmically.

Jarzombek is one of the most accomplished guitarists on the planet, able to play things that few, if any, other guitarists can. Not only that, but he is very innovative in his compositions and soloing. There's rarely a dull moment in his music, however fast or technical he's playing. Jarzombek's only real pitfall can be his tendency to go for the weird, incorporating his own brand of strange humor that instantly sets him apart from the shredders with whom he might otherwise be lumped. Perhaps that's why he's so far never really achieved household-name status.

Jarzombek has several solo albums out, as well as a long CV including bands such as Watchtower, Spastic Ink and S.A. Slayer. He has also made guest appearances on several albums, including technical death metal band Odious Mortem's Cryptic Implosion and progressive fusion band Gordian Knot's self-titled album, as well as others.
