  • Homeopathy works anywhere on the principle "like cures like". In Germany where antiquack should know that homeopathy was first developed it is very popular, and as you know, there is plenty of scientific presence and regulation.

What critics of Homeopathy often say is "Today's scientific models of the material universe can't explain how homeopathy works - therefore it doesn't work."

A better approach would be to figure out scientifically how something not yet scientifically explained works.

  • @Divi58 No. What critics of homeopathy say is "We have tested the claims made by homeopaths and proved that it does not work". Your quote is structured in a way that suggests that the critics think homeopathy works but it can't be explained. They don't. They think homeopathy is bollocks.

  • @davidheffron Hi David. Some think it works, some not. Out of those who think it works, nobody knows why. Out of those who think it doesn't work, many think any effect is due to placebo. Maybe they are right... but that still doesn't explain successful use of homeopathy for animals. What is included in "placebo" anyway? Is it related to "mind over matter"? I talked to an old man today. He keeps himself fit by willing himself to go for walks, even during recent snow. Mind over matter!

  • @Divi58 But the old man's mind has control over his body. Mind over matter doesn't mean "doing something hard", if he was able to put his hand in a fire and stop it from burning - that's "mind over matter".

I also note that in one sentence you go from nearly suggesting that homeopathy is placebo to saying it cures animals because it does work. I'd dispute that there's any evidence that it works for animals, what with it being just water.

  • Of course homeopathy "works" in Ghana, because Ghana is a third world country.

No regulations and no scientific presence.

The quacks have complete free reign.

  • Congratulations on your wonderful work with homeopathy!
