  • man this is totally tae-kwon-do, japanese ppl do kyokushin even though it was founded by a korenan.

korean tae-kwon-do is very similar to kyokushin but don't get them confused.

  • im korean and i've taken taekwondo, but i havent seen anything like urawaza and bo no kata in taekwondo...

  • @FaridYM

    LOL, yeah, mistype

  • I'm indonesian, I've trained in kyokushin karate. So if i would create a new style of martial arts and call it blablablaalbalbal karate, does it make my style suddenly be 'pencak silat 'just because I'm indonesian? No it's still karate. right!!

So all you idiots saying this is tkd because oyama was korean are talking nonsense. Oyama never trained tkd in the 1st place, but a form of kempo/kung fu while living in china when still little. Perhaps some other korean style in korea but not tkd!!

  • @Derukugi2

ehmm Ozawa is a japanese pornstar for your information, we're talking about Oyama here who's the founder of Kyokushin karate. could be a spelling mistake though, just so that you know

  • @FaridYM I just reread it and realised it didn't. I thought your comment was in response to the whole 'he's Korean therefore it's TKD' argument. You made an excellent point, Where you come from shouldn't matter a squat compared to what you do.

  • @psychedashell

I completely agree but i dont understand in what way your comment is a reply to mine? :S hehe

  • @FaridYM Kinda surprises me that very few people ever make the simple point. He wrote two books "What is karate?" and "This is karate" both being guides for training in Kyokushin. Oyama intended Kyokushin to be a karate.

  • OSU.Shihan Okazaki is awesome

  • i dont give a shit if he was korean or japanese. All i care he is one of the best martial artist there ever has been, n the founder of kyokushinkaikan. Stop arguing about whats his etnicity or nationality.duaaaaah -__-

    Osu!!

  • This is a very poor demostration of Kobudo and self-defense. Look for Okinawan Kobudo and you see the real Kobudo.

  • mas oyama studied judo and karate extensively after traveling to japan.the same as sang sup chun(founder of jidokwan)who obtained the rank of shihan in shotokan karate under master funakoshi and obtained high rank in judo.jidokwan as it is meant to be practiced is very similer to kyokushin.i have been studying jidokwan for 4 years.
