@Njai74 ...well sussed, reni made it his own by alternating the bass drum pattern, listen closely,very clever drumming ...mr stubblefield would be proud...reni is a genius.

The drum loop on Fools Gold (much tae Reni's disapproval!) is fae 'Funky Drummer' by J Brown. It's hidden towards the end of the track, it's quite a long one, if ye haven't heard it? The bass line is a nod to 'Know How' by Young MC (Ian Brown championed this song back in 89). Some other reference points worth checking are 'I'm So Green' by Can and, dare I say, 'Peace Frog' by The Doors! Hadn't heard that 'Bra' track before watching this either, but I'll certainly be listening tae it again! (8(<)

Thanks a lot, Lee! I love the tune and I can see the resemblance to Fools' Gold. I read somewhere that Fools' Gold was also inspired by a certain drum routine from a James Brown tune called Funky Drummer. Cheers! Ander.
