  • that is definately FL-1- 10TX, the plane I fly out of AUS- the lack of airflow gave it away- see them reaching for the eyeball vents

  • @ewoodils You must be Larry's son! Hope you are enjoying 10TX!

  • I thought this was a 300 too. No EFIS, no FMS, and the f/w shutoff buttons not where they are supposed to be made me think it was a 200. But...the wing tips are a clue that it might actually be a 350. If it is FL-001, they've repainted it. It used to have straight maroon and blue stripes on white.

  • @tmp0529 The owner of 001 was a Beechcraft Starship owner who recieved this aircraft from Beechcraft on trade when the Starships were being pulled and has been owned by him ever since. From my recollection, the paint scheme has been this color since he took ownership from Beechcraft..if it were different before, I would LOVE to have a picture of its previous paint!!!

  • I don't think this is a 350, looks more like a 300, logged a bunch of time in both, great video though!

  • @austinwr This is in fact a 350...as a matter of fact, its serial number 001!!

  • Lucky kid.

  • @sksakm14 I can vouch for this. Even though it does require a type rating to fly, a King Air 350, under both FAA and TC regs, is single-pilot certified.

I've done flights in the RIGHT seat (radio work, etc) because even though I do have a valid, current pilot's license, I do NOT have a type certification for the King Air. If I had a type cert, I'd be able to log hours in the thing.

    That help?

  • Great aircraft, and a smart looking FO! Wish the KA came with the Garrett turbos with the exhaust in the rear.

  • nice

  • wow that thing is quiet...and gorgeous...and I want one...

  • @dave4shmups i know right

  • That is one lucky kid.
