Chris Banaga / "Just Vibe"

Why hello there again! If you could, please take the time to read this before watching!

I'm just gonna rant again haha. So 2011 is coming to an end, and this piece meant a lot to me, not in like a conceptual way or an emotional way, but moreso as a stepping stone in my growth in this new craft. This year, 2011, is when I really started taking formal classes and actually started choreographing for real. When I was making this piece, I really wanted to focus on the musicality aspect because as dancers, I really believe that music feeds our soul. Dancers are like actors who use the music as their script. Without the music, we're just doing moves and that's not really dancing. I love music, and music is what compels us move, to create, to conceptualize, and to express. I've been blessed to learn from so many different big names in the dance world right now and even though I love creating, I'm always a student first before anything. It's only been my first year, and I'm very anxious for what the future has in store because I definitely know that I have SO much more to learn about this craft. I've been through so many changes in my life but my passion to move and create has stuck with me and helped me through some of the hardest times.

I really want to say thank you to every single person out there who has supported me. My mom, my dad, my sister, my family, my friends. Anybody who has subscribed or followed or hit the like button at least once or favorited or retweeted or reblogged. Every single person out there matters to me, forreal. And I'm so thankful. I know I'm not like the greatest out there or whatever haha so really, I'm truly grateful for every single person who has supported me along the way. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Wow, that was really really smooth. I'm planning to choreograph something to this too and was looking for other pieces to this song, but this is the only one I could find. And this was just.. perfect. You nailed the vibe (lol) of this whole song with your dancing. I'm impressed to the fullest.
