@feabas1 indeed it would:) too many labels attached to things, just gets in the way of people simply enjoying something, like how these guys don't do drums to make good music, I've been doing drums for years.

who gives a fuck how an instrument's played if it's part of a tune that sounds as good as this? I'd play the piano with a pair of boxing gloves on if I thought I could make it sound good. Real punchy tune, probably.

That is a 4 string tenor banjo, you play it with a pick.
The 5 string banjo that this artist also plays, can be played with finger picks, bluegrass style or clawhammer frailing style.
