It's not mislabelled. The car's name was OXYGEN.
Insightful info, nontheless..

this vid is miss labeled, the car is propelled by hydrogen per oxide, the HO2 is pumped (at high pressure) into a catalyst chamber where it breaks down into water and free oxygen... then it's out the rockett nozzle for incredible thrust.
the HO2 that you put on a cut is 0.05% solution... the stuff used in this (and other cars) was 99.9% solution, so powerful that if you spilled some on exposed skin... the skin would burst into flame! . . . nasty stuff!

@IamPorterhouse The natural high car was owned and driven by Larry Flickinger. I saw him run a Matin dragway in Michigan and it was unreal off the line.

@jazzliscious13 hitler was the man..wish he was still alive

I heard some other numbers back in the '80s. I was told that the percentage of the solution used was 90%, and the stuff I use on my skin is .01% I believe. And what I was told was that if the 90% solution was spilled on your skin, it would burn a hole in your skin through dissolution, not "burst into flame". Let's not overstate our claims here. I have read about some of Hitler's experiments with this type of propulsion, and the associated disasters suffered by some of his test pilots. Funny!

Those were standing start runs with E.T.'s and trap speeds-
not "flying" runs.
I know Ky and I believe him.

@crunchdrag Man, that sux :(

@tjohn1986....O'Neills record was not set on a drag strip it was set in The Nevada Desert and more importantly at a damper lower altitude where the drag factor is lower!
The demise of these particular rockets, was caused by the end of their fuel supply. Hydrogen peroxide is a nasty chemical at the concentrations they ran. One of th two supply companies either ceased production, or went out of business.
A truely 'green' car the 80 lb motor, catalyzed the hydrogenperoxide changing it to high preasure steam, and free oxygen.

Thanks for the comment. I can remember the last few times I saw Sammy run He was struggling to get the performance he used to, because he was trying diferent fuel supplys.

If I remember right I saw him at Norwalk, Ohio USA in his car called Natural High, 1980-82?. Unbelievably fast. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I believe that someone should be telling the truth about who holds the 1/4 mile et records, Slammin Sammy Miller, thats who.
I would also like to see someone do a documentory on these types of cars.

Why are these records always held bye fuel cars???
I agree about a documentory on these cars.
