DISCLAIMER: I am NOT an interpreter! I understand that the art of ASL is very complex, and what I do is much closer to "Signed English" as opposed to actual ASL. The phrases I sign in these videos are things I mashed together from individual words I learned on the internet and from friends, and are probably not very close to the actual ASL phrases. If you would like to start learning ASL, I highly recommend it--it's a beautiful language, and there are many good resources out there (myself not included). With that said, I am not trying to disrespect anyone in the process of making these videos, I'm simply trying to have fun with my friends. Isn't the term fuck actually under your chin (fuck not meaning sex)? I'm taking ASL (plan on majoring in it) & I'm just wondering if you are just doing fuck as in sex or not. Thank you!

@mynameiszacci Hi there, thanks for your comment! As far as I know, there are several ways to say fuck. There's the one I use here, the loan sign of F-K, and giving someone the finger. I've heard about the version you describe with hand under the chin as well, but as far as I know, it's more commonly used in Europe than here in the US. (cont)

@mynameiszacci (cont.) The version I use here is most commonly used to refer to actual sex or fucking, so you're correct in that I should probably be using a different sign for "fuck." Maybe the loan sign would be more appropriate? I'm still learning ASL myself, so I'm always looking for other people's thoughts on my phrases. I think it's great that you're majoring in ASL, and feel free to let me know if you see anything else I should correct! Thanks for your help! :)
