The germans are driving russian SU-100 and shooting at russian T-34/85. Looks kind of weird.

I know this is true, but as other people say, it's about the books and not the person. I also read that he was ordered by a court to remove parts from one of his books, cuz it was a total ripoff from "All quiet on the eastern front" by Remarque. (Also a greate book, and turned into a movie with the same name. That movie is much better than "wheels of terror" with Ernest Borgnine as "Kat", who is the inspiration to create "oldman") The movie was nominated to 7 Emmys.
