  • seems legit...

  • @sketchsi oh come on dude! the last thing I needed was a scare... what brain damage part? - coz I was thinking about Carbon monoxide, but the carboxy-haemaglobin thing is permanent. so if someone saves you by accident, you are still screwed for lie... so I assumed an inert gas like nitrogen (or helium) will be OK... so once again, what brain damage part?

  • Ok the test is now officially over! I stoped it after 3 hours, because thats enough of steady flow Thats is with 20 european metric liters or 80 Anglo American cubic feet Just regulate it by hand to the right size and ignore what ever the meter says or doesent say, and you will get around 1 hour even with 40 Anglo American cubic feet or 10 or even 9 L of compressed Nitrogen gas. Ignore the readings on the pressure gauge and just concentrate on regulating the pressure walve on top of the cylinder

  • Carried out a personal test. My pressure gauge was broken, but with a steady pressure i got around 1.5 hours of steady Nitrogen flow. Works in Finland. Leaves no real trace to the body for autopsy to find, and is all perfectly legal. That is with a 80 cubic feet or 20-european metric liters. Ignore the numbers on the pressure gauge and just let the gas flow smoothly and ajust the gass pressure with your hand. Have the taxi driver carie it for you and say it is for a special online science test.

  • I'm making ballon animals before I put the bag over my head. Or, I will place one on top of the bag itself. If I'm going to jump in my grave, I'm gonna click my heels, and do a back flip...it's the only way to go! Happy suicide! :P

  • im in that weird part of youtube again

  • The only part im scared about is the brain damage part

  • @AlanJones78

The name of that case report is "Assisted suicide by oxygen deprivation with helium at a Swiss right-to-die organisation"

  • @Zacsta There was a documented case report of 4 people who died at a swiss right to die clinic by helium gas inhalation. All 4 people used face masks and the observers noted that there were problems with achieving the proper fit of the mask. At the end of the report it is said that a "hood" may be more beneficial than a mask.

The bag should not burst because it shouldn't be air tight around the neck. This allows the CO2 exhaled to escape as the inert gas continues to flow into the bag.

  • I don't understand why anyone would use an exit bag in conjunction with helium rather than a CPAP mask, which is specifically designed for the inhalation of gas (generally oxygen) and I imagine to be more comfortable (not claustrophobic) and much less liable to failure, as a bag can burst and leak.
