while i tend to use profanity often, (though less now than when i was younger) i couldn't agree more with your comment. for me, it's habitual- a bad habit to break. i'd add a tendancy towards a poor education to your list of personal traits most often associated with those who engage in casual profanity. i've also noticed that those who've become desensitized to vulgarities by constant usage, tend to employ a horrid elocution whilst speaking; harkening back to a poor education perhaps.
