Is this the Vegas TV station owned by Johnny Carson? KVVU 5 was known for low-budget graphics: an independent station until a major TV network bought the station. My local FOX affiliate in the 1990s was KDBA 40 here in Palm Springs, before KESQ 3 (ABC) purchased them from previous owners KECY 9 El Centro (former CBS). This was when over 60 CBS affiliates switched to the FOX network. On occassion, we get analog TV from Las Vegas and Phoenix by chance, like channel 7 (KUSK) or channel 8 (KLAS). +
