shows again that punks are sometimes the most conservative and narrow minded persons in the world... don't ever dare to change their style or sound... who decides what punk is? the sex pistols were made by mclaren, johnny ramone was a conservative republican and lots of the old bands like the rest of the dead kennedys or misfits are rediculous today... that isn't punk in my opinion, too.. while there are lots of new bands who look different, sound different, but have the spirit in their hearts..

to answer several of the responses to my original post: (a) some young 'uns (like my nephew) consider Fall Out Boy and their ilk to be LOL "punk" -- i doubt that he read my comment though he knows well my opinion on this matter; and (b) while i don't indeed like FOB, it has nothing to do w/ their sexual preferences -- i sincerely wish that no-one interprets my comment as an invitation to slur gays or post hateful homophobic comments.
