i went to the 2008 expo in san diego and had a great time. i am hearing and still learning ASL so i sometimes had trouble understanding everything that was being signed but still had a ton of fun. everyone there was friendly and patient with me even though i am "asl impaired".

Matt Hamill happens to be AMAZING!
so please do not be rude to someone you do not even know. search him. he is cooool! I met him and he is very good at interacting with people, deaf OR hearing. he doesn't just bob his head. he SIGNS...if you couldn't understand it thats your problem... Respect is a good thing to have!

I WENT TO THE LONG BEACH EXPO 2007 last weekend, met Matt "hammer" hamill, AND I GOT THAT SHIRT ;-D

his name is Matt Hamill, and he is a mixed martial arts fighter for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. If you are interested, he is fighting tomorrow night on Spike TV, free for cable/sat subscribers.
He is a good guy, and although deaf since birth, not an idiot.
He is not favored in the contest against his opponent Michael Bisping of the UK, but I will be pulling for him !
