My second (and last) recording of Gordon Lightfoot's performance at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium on October 12th, 2006. This song also inconveniently stops due to the length of the recording time allowed by the camera. Also, the video is out of sync again with the audio only after uploading. It's a great sampler, nonetheless. Enjoy!

  • Mr Lightfoot has been off alcohol since 1984.Any addiction is a disease-nothing to joke about. He has also recovered from a near-fatal abdominal aneurysm & has had to have painful restorative ab muscle grafts so he could sing again.I for one thank God he made it! Listen to his words & the gentle softness of his voice even now.He is truly gifted & and very courageous to overcome all that stood in the way of his being on stage when this video was made.

  • want this played at my funeral - all the things that need to be said if only the love of your life would listen .timeless

  • i just got to see him live! a dream come true. my favorite part, "enter number two..." i thought he wrote in directions to have the second guitar enter. now i think it means enter second lover. what do you think?

  • good shit man love it

  • Nope,I threw the ticket stub away after the woman I was with dumped me.(Notice handle change from me)

  • Would you still have that ticket stub, and if so would you want to sell it?

  • Timeless.

  • This was the first Lightfoot song I ever heard. And it is still beautiful! One of my favourites. And this version is fantastic!!

  • GL was right at the top in the 70's just like John Denver....BOTH incredible musicians...and to think all the people they KNEW who were struggling on THEIR way up, back in the mid-late 60's.. ..PPM, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan..all whom were unknown names...

  • For the record, I love Gordon Lightfoot and his music. I was lucky enough to hear him play live a number of times when I worked at the Gaslight in NYC in the early '70's, at the height of the folk rock era. It was great! So many great singer / songwriters / musicians everywhere you went. Those were the days!
