I have been DJing since 1977, I mostly played hip hop or break records and to tell you the truth I am a little tired of carrying around 25 to 30 crates of records because I usually have a mixed crowd ages 19 to 40 and that music range can't fit into two to three crates of records, it was a necessity to go laptop after using vinyl for over twenty years and creating a bad back. Also try telling that to one of the Godfathers of Hip Hop because I have seen Grandmaster Flash using a laptop often

I wouldn't risk all your equipment by foregoing the ground especially when your on the spot. If your equipment fails your out of a gig and lose your rep. It can be a safety issue. For a quick fix, yes, but long term, I'd buy a ground loop lifter.

Thats all I use is just the little grey ground plug and plug it into 6 way plug and no buzz. I dont use the cord
