As a Rockets fan and overall NBA fan, you really can't help but to feel great about Shaq winning his first NBA Championship. I had just graduated from high school, and I was rooting for Shaq to finally win it here.
Although there was a part of me that wanted to see the Pacers win it, I was very glad to see Shaq and the Lakers win it.
67-15 record, 19 game win streak, Shaq MVP, All Star MVP, and Finals MVP.
I still can't believe this was 12 years ago.

@JRangerCR355 you do know that kobe got the assist on that shot by fisher in 2009 and ron in 2010, right? how is that any different than jordan getting the assist on Kerr's game 6 clincher in 1997?

@1944ACE1944 jordan was 5 for 19 in the 1996 finals game 6 clincher. that's 26.3%, in case you don't have a calculator. it's funny how people conveniently don't remember stuff like that about jordan yet they still harp on kobe going 8 for 27 (29.6%) against the pacers in 2000....and most recently this 6 for 24 performance. he did do other things in the game to compensate for his poor shooting early on and he did score or assist in 10 points in the 4th quarter of game 7 against boston.
