On the final days of their trip, many miles are added to the traveling duo's car. Sunday marked a new lesson in that 90% of businesses in the American South are closed on Sundays. This foiled the plans to visit two Durham, North Carolina eateries, Chap's Pitt Beef and Wimpy's Burger. Instead, the pair treated themselves to blueberry, watermelon, and banana shakes and ventured toward their destination of Atlanta, Georgia.
After waking up in a relative's pad in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoying a soul-infused brunch at Hambone's BBQ, they saddled up with a furry, four-legged compadre on their way to Florida. After a full day of driving, the trio landed in a small motel in Alachua, Florida.
Tuesday morning brought hope of meeting the end goal later that night: Miami. The trio continued southbound and enjoyed a delicious, enormous seafood/Latin lunch at Rapscallion's in Land O Lakes, Florida. Their voyage resumed southward to Naples, through Alligator Alley (in which a few gators were seen), and finally completing their trip in North Bay Village, Miami Beach, Florida.
