  • i remember seeing it on reading rainbow thanks for posting it in it's entirety

  • @Scottwilkie18 YVW! If you're bored or suffering from insomnia, please check out the other videos on the Dean358 channel from the same era.

  • Thanks so much everyone for posting such nice comments! And yes: it took forever (rolling 8 1" Type C analog tape machines at once for each pass 2.) we like trippy and 3.) legal?? Maybe soon....

  • Hey, Dean, what did Daniel Lentz think of the video? Peace.

  • I seem to recall Daniel liking it quiet a bit.

  • To have some understanding of what went into the making of this in 1985.......absolutely amazing!

  • Ty! All the image recording and layering for Luminare was done in the analog domain. I typically rolled seven 1" VTRs at once - six playback and one record for each step. Very different than the kids today and their ubiquitous "UNDO" buttons. LOL

  • Even more amazing considering they were BVH-1100's, except for the record! Thanks for posting your work, Dean!

  • Thinking of this being made in 1986, this is fantastic. Very creative work. It's really inspiring for the newer generation (which includes me).
