  • "He that is greatest among you shall be your servant." (Matthew 23:11)

Service is indeed what we are all called to, to do the good works of God for the benefit and edification of our brothers and sisters in Christ, and for the pleasure and glory of God.

  • @TheUSaveMoving Yes it does. I can quote you the verse if you like? If a man is a liar, is it wrong to call him a lair? If a woman practises adultery, is it wrong to call her an adulteress? If a person is an unbeliever, is it wrong to call them an atheist? Not at all. The Bible does indeed support righteous judgment.

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 Wrong! It does not condone it. And what @Lakerfan27 is no where near "righteous judgement."

  • @TheUSaveMoving Actually the Bible does condone "righteous judgment" so please get your facts right before you make a statement.

  • Actually @lakerfan27 what you have said is wrong, egotistical and un-Biblical. You have judged Mark Driscoll which is against biblical principles. I know neither you nor Mark Driscoll so I can't whom is right or wrong, nor is it my place. I am sure that Mark has his faults. We all do. The Church is a membership of hypocrites. We are all sinners in the eyes of the Lord. Your statement is a judgement on Mark and therefore a violation of the New Testament.

  • @patty7beth Wrong! Every man has the gift of leadership but it's up to him to develop it & use it properly. If u accept being 2nd fiddle 2 somebody else then that's ur problem. I wouldn't do it but that's just me. My point is that Mark has abused his power in the past when he fired 2 pastors and basically told his congregation to shut up & do what they're told. The video is on Youtube. Men have 2 be careful on who they trust & always question what they hear. This helps keep pastors in check.

  • I never cease to be amazed at those who think they've been given gifts of discernment - and invent a "ministry" that essentially consists of criticizing the ministry of others. So, Driscoll critics - I guess you're leading lots of lost people to belief/salvation in Jesus, baptizing new converts, right? Or is your "ministry" just critiquing those who do? Pathetic.

  • @lakerfan27 Nothing wrong, egotistical or unBiblical is said here. Clearly u have issues with Driscoll & warp this sermon thru your filter. It's nature of the ego to want to lead. But not everyone has the gift of leadership. Even those who do must begin by serving.

Driscoll began a small church that "blew up" & became massive; clearly, he's a leader. Men in his church who want to lead do so by going thru training to take on leading roles, some leaving 2 start new churches. So why the whining?

  • @lakerfan27 welcome to religeon my friend
