  • keep me posted, I would like to see pictures of your mask

  • This is a good time, I am developing another series of videos and would enjoy commentaries and pictures of all carvers. Please send them to the carversplace@gmail.com

  • I've been watching your mask-making series, and this is REALLY cool, sir.

I'm making my own mask right now, and this has been really helpful. I found that I have a lot of excess wood on top of mine, so I've been trying my gouge, but it doesn't seem to be working =/

I'm sure it probably just needs to be sharpened. It's old.

    But really, VERY neat, sir.

  • @PrestigiousBandito how are you doing with your mask making, send me some pictures.

  • Hello! Your videos are great! I am a first time begginer to mask making. I have always really wanted to make a wooden horse mask to wear on halloween every year. I am hoping to learn how to make one through your videos.

  • i enjoy your vidios im a wood carver up in canada id like to send some piks of my work and some of my tips to share

  • You are right. If you have a drill press or a drill with a large bit, The hollowing out will go faster but you have to be careful not to ruin your work.

  • I'm trying the gouge you are holding at 5:33.

But I think I worked my way through that problem by doing a circular motion with one of the more precise tools, which results in a gouge-type action.

I'm on to hollowing out the mask now though, and I have a feeling a gouge would help a lot here.

  • Are you trying the mallet with the gouge? Glad you are enjoying making masks

  • amazing
